Dingo Posted April 1, 2009 Posted April 1, 2009 That is one NICE Dodge I only haope mine turns out as good and looks as good as yours does, congrats on one FINE model. Dingo
Iron Will Posted April 7, 2009 Posted April 7, 2009 Quick build..... used a 1971 AMT Charger R/T kit, pegasus wheels, PPG metallic blue basecoat, painted stripes and 2 part clear and alot of imagination! Its a slammer with a V-10 borrowed from an AMT Viper GTS kit along with the seats and steering wheel. The engine shroud was made from sheet plastic, Scalemotorsport CF and 2 part clear. It was alot of fun to finish after sitting 2 years..... You forced this noob to join the forum just to say..."I'm inspired!" Dude, that's freakin AWESOME!!! Makes me want to do it all over again with a full size Charger! Great job!
Forrest Gump Posted April 8, 2009 Posted April 8, 2009 David, you and Clay Kemp are two builders that I follow. I am always amazed at what you produce. When will this one grace the model magazines? Awesome.
CEKPETHO BCE Posted July 25, 2011 Posted July 25, 2011 I don't like 71 Chargers too much, but ###### this is tooooo nice
bsoder Posted July 25, 2011 Posted July 25, 2011 Well, didn't see this first time around!...great lookin' Charger
diymirage Posted July 25, 2011 Posted July 25, 2011 I don't like 71 Chargers too much, but ###### this is tooooo nice
Peter Lombardo Posted July 25, 2011 Posted July 25, 2011 So well done...so clean and so right. Very smooth. A car you would see done in 1:1 at the SEMA show.
Harry P. Posted July 25, 2011 Posted July 25, 2011 I don't like 71 Chargers too much, but ###### this is tooooo nice Why do you keep bringing back ancient topics that are years old???
Rob Hall Posted July 25, 2011 Posted July 25, 2011 Sharp build..the '71 Charger design lends itself to PT style builds..I like the idea of using the V10. I have a couple spare Vipers for similar ideas on my long-range to build list.
Kauai420air Posted July 25, 2011 Posted July 25, 2011 Love the color, love the stance, love the engine cover. Basically I love the hole car. Nice work man. Nice work. Aloha from Kauai Hawaii.
Scale-Master Posted July 26, 2011 Posted July 26, 2011 I'll admit I didn't read the replies..., but not to sound too redundant, (and I am sure I will be), I really like it! Killer execution! It's a wow for me!
Danno Posted July 26, 2011 Posted July 26, 2011 Why do you keep bringing back ancient topics that are years old??? Why not? Obviously, a lot of us missed this one the first time around. Even now, it's like discovering buried treasure, a pure delight. I for one am glad that he did bring it back, because ... even though it was posted a couple of years ago, it is a timelessly beautiful build that I had not seen before today. Had he not brought it up from the past, I would never have enjoyed this amazing model. David: Fantastic! It's a masterpiece. Cekpetho Bce: Thanks for re-discovering this beauty. Gregg: Thanks for the forum feature that allows old posts to hang around and be found again, like fabulous 'old barn' finds. Harry: Thanks for reconsidering.
trogdor Posted July 26, 2011 Posted July 26, 2011 Why do you keep bringing back ancient topics that are years old??? For people like me who joined after this was posted, I'm glad he did. I would have never seen it otherwise. It is a fantastic build
Greg Pugh Posted July 26, 2011 Posted July 26, 2011 I never noticed that it was an older post. I usually only get upset when someone brings up older threads when it has something to do with time-specific stuff like want-ads, etc. This is one that I'm glad was brought back up.
miatamadman Posted July 26, 2011 Posted July 26, 2011 BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I just might have to copy some of those ideas
