Hey Guys,I am building a model of a car I had in the late 70's and I do not recall there being red cables on the positive side of the battery. It seams to me they were always black. Can anyone clarify  this for me?

Thanks,

Jerry

I seem to recall some Mopars having orange positive cables, and maybe some Fords too (not sure) but I think most Fords and GMs of the period were black. Likely most foreign cars too.

I have this one super heavy positive cable on my Ford, it goes from the firewall solenoid to the starter. Black, it came off a junk car many years ago. It hung on a nail on my garage wall for about 35 years. The ones for my Ford I had made up by a speed shop while I waited, I went black and red.

I am building a '64 Olds but I also had a '68 Pontiac, a buddy of mine had a '72 Mustang and I had a '72 Corolla.  Thanks for the help guys.
