Happy New Years!!!

This is a Revell snap curbside kit I picked up for cheap. I have always liked the W body GMs, I have the Revell 91, 92 GTP and the 89, 90 Grand Prix kits but do not have the courage or skill to open them yet. This kit was my second attempt at Dupli Color and at doing weather stripping and trim without an airbrush, the results were not great. The paint looks alright not as much aggressive orange peel like my C5. I loved that this kits interior was molded in the GM blue scheme. I really love the interior detail on this kit.

This kit is built like an ex police car someone has bought and turned into a cheap daily driver. Finished in Dupli Color GM Storm Gray Metallic. A similar color was available on the 9C1. The interior is the bare plastic done as the 9C1 blue interior. My first kit where I dry brushed the under body to weather it. The trim is a disaster so I wont bring it up again :)

Overall I like modeling contemporary cars that would be within my grasp at a time in the past or near future. I like this generation of Impala, now if Revell could release the SS with the supercharged 3800 that would be GREAT!!!

Regardless, it is a cool build. If I see that car on the road I slow down. It looks like an unmarked police car  ?  We call them "ghosts".

Still a good- looking build! I traded a Revell of Germany version of this kit. Kinda wish I wouldn't have now...

Thanks!! There is a few of these kits kicking around on ebay.
