Making some progress on the 1975 Jorgensen Eagle. My goal was to just build a nice model for the shelf and not going too crazy with rebuilding everything, which much of the base AMT kit is crying out for. The old AMT is a bit of a stinker for accuracy so I did a little bit of work to make it better but not perfect if your nit-picking. Basically recontoured the nose, the kit made it look like it was ready to plow the snow off your driveway. Also scratch built a new oil cooler fairing for the left side of the body. The decals were mostly sourced from Indycals and new resin tires from Classic Racing Resins. The decals are some of the easiest to apply that I've ever used. Only needed a touch of decal set in a few spots but overall layed down perfect image.thumb.jpeg.478362f115e13a4eb2a3714371a29ab2.jpegimage.thumb.jpeg.52c3e1525ad2a9dc91c9ac11eb86f752.jpeg

IndyCals decals are great! Your Eagle is looking good! I missed that race that Bobby Unser won.  I spent three days in the mud, the blood, and the beer in 1973 and they still didn't finish that race. I didn't go back until 1977 and then 43 years straight.  1975 and 1976 were shortened due to rain also. Nice work on your racer!

Nice work, Mike! I'm working on the 74 kit and doing it as a 75. I guess there were a couple of changes because my Goodyear decals on the front fairings don't fit as well as yours. The front wing must be wider. I did substitute rear wing fairings from a PC-6 kit on the rear. I didn't make any changes to the oil cooler shroud as you have but probably should have. Nice work on yours and it looks great! ??

Even though most of the decals used where sourced from Indycals, some of the Goodyears came from my decal stash which is the case for the front wing end plates and windscreen. The driver/mechanic callout on the upper cowl are from the actulal original AMT set as the Indycal ones were too big to fit the area.. The AMT decals to my misbelief still were still workable after all these years being curled up in the box.

Great job on this older kit. What colour did you use for the over all colour of the car? I have this kit in my stash and was wondering.
