hct728(Bob) Posted January 21, 2024 Posted January 21, 2024 Finally finished one from the old stash! I had to re-do the paint after there was a reaction with the plastic even after Duplicolor primer, sigh 9
kelson Posted January 21, 2024 Posted January 21, 2024 I've debated buying this kit for years, how is the fit and quality of the parts?.

The body's great, but interior has gaps and poorly-fitting side panels so it's hard to get the proper fit. There is no separate engine, just a top plate that you add parts to, but I opened it and the chassis up so you can see through it and I'm satisfied. I like that kind of plastic whittling anyway The tires are kinda square-edged so I tried to round them off and I shortened the mounting pins on the back of the wheels so they don't stick out so much too Thanks for the comments! karbuildr Posted January 21, 2024 Posted January 21, 2024 Nice Volvo. Not something seen very often and your kit came out very well. 1
Yeah Nah Posted January 22, 2024 Posted January 22, 2024 Very nice (and unusual) build Bob. My father in law had a string of Volvos including one of these and swore by them. The few Volvos I owned I swore AT. A lot. 1
ncbuckeye67 Posted January 23, 2024 Posted January 23, 2024 Your hard work definitely paid off, that's a great looking Volvo! I love those older models, especially the wagons.
