Yes, Spotlight Hobbies is offering "chrome plating" of plastic model parts, similar to what others offered in the past.   That's a winner for me.

If you still want DIY paint solution, then the winner will be what works best for you. As you mentioned, there are lots of opinions and lots of varying results, depending on the individual reviewing it.

Perfect answer Peter.      I'm still of the opinion Molotow gives the best result in spite of the durability issue.

my experience tells me gsw has a mildly better shine but it goes off much too fast in the bottle. i opened my bottle to do a test and when i went to use it 3 months later it was just shiny grey mettallic. at least molotowe lasts a decent time when not being used, i have 2 og pens that are still chrome
