Rockford Posted November 20, 2024 Posted November 20, 2024 You're one clever beggar! You think outside the box on things all the time. Great work on the door panels and windscreen, AND you're making it all repeatable by casting them! Brilliant stuff. 1
Pete68 Posted November 20, 2024 Posted November 20, 2024 Beautiful word and great scratch work thanks for sharing. 1
The Brush Posted November 26, 2024 Author Posted November 26, 2024 A quick update, The windscreens fitted & interiors, bit of clean up needed, I will need to make some adjustments on future builds fitting the interior was a bit tight. Now on with the cab lights, mirrors etc. & not forgetting the badges left these to last. 3

The Brush Posted December 10, 2024 Author Posted December 10, 2024 (edited) Hi, just printed stripes for the white f700 & cut out on self adhesive chrome vinyl badges on a vinyl cutter. these are 2mm high just about cuts. I might paint the stripes on yet see how the decals look first. Also made the mirrors up from wire & resin casting. Airhorns & marker lights next. Edited December 10, 2024 by The Brush 4
Rockford Posted December 10, 2024 Posted December 10, 2024 The chrome vinyl emblems look impeccable! Never heard of the process though. Is this the kind of system they'd use for signs and things, controlled by a computer? Stripe scheme looks great. 1
The Brush Posted December 10, 2024 Author Posted December 10, 2024 Hi, The vinyl cutter is for signmaking, computer controlled with sign making software. I have this left over from my working days. I was a traditional signwriter & later used computers in the sign trade. mainly up north before i moved down south. 2
Gary Chastain Posted December 10, 2024 Posted December 10, 2024 Wow, never thought about a sign cutter for decals and they are making some really thin vinyl these days, hhhmmmmm. 2
The Brush Posted December 27, 2024 Author Posted December 27, 2024 Hi, Here is the last bits made ready to paint & chrome, If the weather is to bad i will use a chrome paint pen, bits made from wire ,plastic card & some cast resin. The mascot on hand rail was made in 3 parts. 4
BK9300 Posted December 27, 2024 Posted December 27, 2024 Very fine detail work - steady hands needed here! 1
The Brush Posted January 23 Author Posted January 23 Hi, Heres the latest update managed to spray the chrome dispite the weather, also made turn signals/indicators from 3mm rod drilled & 0.5 wire glued in place also chromed painted then clear amber added. I also fixed part of the motor in the engine compartment to fill a space. 4
Rockford Posted January 23 Posted January 23 A good demonstration of lateral thinking yielding excellent results, as usual!
