Need Pantograph wipers and belt hardware........

Recommended Posts

I don't know why this is so difficult for me to track down.

Does anyone have a good source for pantograph wipers and racing seatbelt hardware in 1/24 scale?

The little photo-etch sheet Paul included in his kits was PERFECT, that's what I'm looking for.

Any thoughts?

Detail Master makes some nice sets of wipers and racing harness, but it looks like they say sold out on their website.  However, I do see a lot of their stuff on eBay listed.

Here are their wiper sets: https://www.detailmaster.com/search?type=product&q=NOT+tag%3A__gift+AND+wipers*

And here are their harness sets: https://www.detailmaster.com/search?type=product&q=NOT+tag%3A__gift+AND+harness*

you could try spot model in spain. their pretty good for items like these

I went to the spotmodel site and was shocked. Out of 97 photo etch wiper sets, they only had 13 available....and none are the pantograph.

Thanks Steve. All out of stock and none the pantograph.

Belt hardware, I have been using Scale Motorsports 1/20 stuff. The size still looks good in smaller cars and is easier to see and work with.

Decent seat belt hardware is a void in the hobby at least for me.

look at the ribbons in fabric shops. some of it is pretty convincing if matt coated and its in loads of sizes and colours

My problem with ribbon that comes with belt kits is, most is hard to glue to itself and is too thick to pass thru the buckles. I use scavenged flat gift 🎁 ribbons and color them with markers.

Curling ribbon is not too bad to use. It can be flattened out a little.

You might get lucky at your local beauty supply shop. Or at a nail polish sections of a pharmacy, supermarket, or even dollar store.  Beauty supply story would likely have the largest selection.
