Horrorshow Posted May 5, 2024 Posted May 5, 2024 What do you do if you have 25 kits in various stages of build…start another one of course. I purchased this kit because I was needing the windshield and chrome for another build. Already started messing with the roll cage and motor but since it’s been warmer here I can get outside to sand and paint. Lots of trim to remove. I vowed to finish this one.☝️ 2
Volzfan59 Posted May 5, 2024 Posted May 5, 2024 This will be a fun one to watch. I've seen pictures of Edsel's racing in vintage late model classes.
Volzfan59 Posted May 5, 2024 Posted May 5, 2024 Definitely not NASCAR, but this is the car I mentioned. 2

Rattlecan Dan Posted May 6, 2024 Posted May 6, 2024 I've never seen one in action but looks pretty cool. Good luck making it. 1

Volzfan59 Posted May 8, 2024 Posted May 8, 2024 What's the difference between a '58 and a '59? Maybe it's the angle of the shots, or more than likely it's just me but I'm not seeing it.
Horrorshow Posted May 8, 2024 Author Posted May 8, 2024 Roll cage done, most of it is PPP. Some of it is parts tree.
bobss396 Posted May 9, 2024 Posted May 9, 2024 I use a lot of PPP cages from eBay... free shipping from one seller. They are made nicer now, they used to have lines in them that were tough to sand out. My only gripe is that the front legs are closer together than the back legs. I prefer a square cage, it gives more room for the seat. The last ones I have done, I offsetted the cages to the left a little. I have seen this often enough on 1:1 stock cars.
Horrorshow Posted May 9, 2024 Author Posted May 9, 2024 Puttied headlights, taillights and all holes. 1
Rattlecan Dan Posted May 15, 2024 Posted May 15, 2024 Looks good so far. Just viewed your entire collection of built models. From cute to custom some nice work there. Waiting to see this one finished. 1

Musclecarbuilder Posted May 23, 2024 Posted May 23, 2024 That thing is really cool! I love the paint scheme! My cousin is doing one of these with a Pink 59' Edsel. He's gonna race it at the 24 hrs of Lemons. 1
