Modelcarjedi Posted March 31, 2009 Posted March 31, 2009 this was a fun build!! enjoy!! keith here is how i did it
Randy Kern Posted March 31, 2009 Posted March 31, 2009 Keith, that thing really is rusty.... and cool! Someday I'll have to try that, when I get tired of the shiny ones. The chicken wire grille made me laugh out loud!!
vizio93 Posted March 31, 2009 Posted March 31, 2009 wow that looks really realistic i wish mine looked as good as yours nice
Foxer Posted April 1, 2009 Posted April 1, 2009 Very nice! that stuff comes out well .. have some here been meaning to try. Video does great job showing the technique.
Harry P. Posted April 1, 2009 Posted April 1, 2009 Geez, those are some awfully clean and shiny wheels on a total rustbucket...
tuffone20 Posted April 1, 2009 Posted April 1, 2009 That looks so cool!!! Oops I mean so RUSTY Nice job looks so real!!! Oops I mean RUSTY!! Great video how to!! I'm going to be giving this a try on some old stuff I have. Thanks for posting it!!
John E. Bowers Jr. Posted April 1, 2009 Posted April 1, 2009 (edited) This is a great model. Thank you for sharing the vid! I have tried the rustall product twice and have been dissatisfied both times. The plastic bag wrap is something I'll try the next time. Thanks again! Edited April 1, 2009 by John E. Bowers Jr.

Harry, looks just like my Ol' 57, Right after I had given it to my Non-car Guy brother. He put a brand new set of Corvette rallys and Goodyear Eagles on a car that did not even run at the time.... looked just like this, surface rust everywhere and those beautiful tires and wheels... Now my son has the car.....
09WNS/14BRK Posted April 3, 2009 Posted April 3, 2009 wow that is a 1:12 57 mate? very nice job you have done
cruz Posted April 3, 2009 Posted April 3, 2009 Very cool Keith but I don't think you know the meaning of the word "little"
Peter Lombardo Posted April 3, 2009 Posted April 3, 2009 I agree with Marcos.....Little???? Anyway, it is a very convincing rust bucket...what a sin to think that there are real vintage cars out there in this condition. I just can't bring myself to do something like this....well done. $500.00 ????? the wheels are worth more then that.
