Finished this one a little over a year ago. It wasn't meant to be rusty and weathered, but it gave me no choice. this was actually the one that made me not trust Rustoleum paints anymore, particularly the primer. around 2015 I sprayed a coat of dark gray primer over it, and it decided to craze all over. tossed in back in the box for about 5 years. not thinking it was a big deal, I tried to stripe it using Citristrip. it took majority off, but it still had the pattern of the craze and some weird staining, that's when I said screw it, it's getting rusted. it's my first time doing it, so I watched a couple builders on youtube and ran with it. I didn't use any paint on the body, only parts that got painted were the flares, I just drilled and grinded some areas. most of what's on there is rust from using steel wool and vinegar, acrylic paints, washes and some baby powder to give me some crusty metal texture. the bumpers and grill didn't come chromed, so I just sprayed them with Alclad lexan chrome spray paint, it's not meant for styrene, so it gives me an old chrome look. it's mainly what I use it for. the interior got some details that won't be seen unless you look in there such as a headliner with a dome lamp and panels for the C pillars. it has the roll bar, lap belts and a harness, wood Nardi steering wheel, long shift stick with transparent blue knob, ash tray cup, rear deck speakers, strobe lamp and the wink panel mirror. wheels are Watanabe's from Aoshima painted with Tamiya TS-42 light gun metal.

Great patina and weathering. A very interesting build. I never thought I would see a Nissan Skyline as a rat rod...:-)
