This kit was another one of my dad's he picked up in the '90s. Unassembled until April 5th, 2021. One of the very first kits that I had sprayed; interestingly enough, with paint from a '90s spray can. I guess the paint was still good, because the car's paint job looks fantastic, in my opinion. This is the 1988 Monogram Shelby Cobra kit.

I have the 1/16 MPC in my stash to build. Purchased it over 30 years ago and my retirement goal was in summer  to drive my 1960 Corvette more frequently in retirement, attend more car shows and in winter to start building some of those kits. But my life got  changed 3 years ago when my Dad's health started to decline.

The Shelby American Cobra is one of my favorite cars of all time. I also have two diecasts on my shelf 1/18 and 1/24 scale.

I would be quite pleased if my build turned out as 1/2 as good as yours. I think your model is a great build. Love it...

That looks fantastic! Did the decals give you any problems?

Surprisingly, the decals went on like they were new, which is odd because I have a year 2000 Revell model 1967 Dodge Charger (you'll see it soon) and it's decals disintegrated in the water and they're a full 10+ years younger than these decals. Some age well and some don't. Glad the decals in this kit aged well.
