Ok since I became active on the forums almost four years ago, I started with a mediocre amount of kits and had a couple of finished display pieces. That has snowballed into a large(ish) stash of kits and approximately 30 finished display pieces. Now on my third move( the biggest by far). Yesterday I set up a work area and today is the unboxing and repair of anything that may have been damaged in shipping( I was the shipper so hopefully not a lot, I’m expecting a loose door handle or a popped off mirror.
I have a much larger display cabinet now to house them but atm it’s in a non display area.
but it’s a start. I’m happy to be back at a place to build again and already I have a 32 on deck for a build.
I’ll update with some more pics once I unload the built box and start the sorting for display.

Thank you Al, it’s my second life’s work lol. If do a search of my threads, most if not all have better pics.

Well the boxes are empty and only had to repair a couple of loose mirrors, no damage woot! The downside is that I’ve run out of room for display guess I’ll have to stop building lmao.

I still have 3 of the 15, 32 ford body styles to complete and I’ll have no room to display them ones finished.

Just need to get a few bigger shelving units.

Thanks David, I’m on the hunt for another glass fronted case to put on top in the one I have.

I really should think about moving if a similar house in town pops up. I have a lot of equity in this one, so a lateral would be fine. I passed up one on a few blocks over maybe 6 years back. I still need a basement and a big garage. Where I am now, no close neighbors, a pool and nice yard.

This would let me get rid of a lot of BLAH_BLAH_BLAH_BLAH in general, my styrene footprint would remain about the same, but be better organized.

I don't think we'll be moving again until the day they either put me in a nursing home or wheel me out. That being said, we moved a lot over the last 20 years. Between raising kids and my wife going to universities for her degrees I packed and unpacked a lot of models and boxed kits. For convenience, a lot of them ended up being stored in the in-laws barn attic and forgotten. I'm still coming across boxes of them sometimes. So far they seem to have survived mostly intact.

Depending on your budget and if there's one within driving distance, IKEA has some pretty nice options. I have a couple of the Billy style. https://www.ikea.com/us/en/p/billy-bookcase-with-glass-doors-dark-blue-20323805/

These Baggebo are smaller and work pretty well too.  https://www.ikea.com/us/en/p/baggebo-cabinet-with-glass-doors-metal-white-80502998/

Sadly there are no IKEA’s in this province. I’ll find something locally I’m sure

Nice looking builds!

Get those cars behind some glass. Hot rods are the hardest to dust.

They are now behind glass, they photograph better without the glass.
