I've got a full detail '72 Torino GT in the planning stages. I'll be using the 429 engine, trans, and rear axle from the Revell '70 Torino. The chassis from the Revell '76 Torino is a logical choice, though I tend towards the path of most resistance so I'm thinking of trying to salvage the kit chassis by cutting away the floor and molded-in suspensions from the frame. There's a good chance I'll reconsider that plan when it comes time to build this thing. The '70 and '76 will provide other bits here and there including the engine bay. Some interior details I've yet to work out. I got some nice looking decals from Ray's.

I'm planning one too and Trevor is right. Unfortunately the Revell 70 Torino chassis is incorrect so you need the 76 kit. That kit doesn't play nice with the Johan body though, either the Revell kit is big or the Johan kit is small but the Revell chassis will need significant trimming to get it to fit. The wheel bases are slightly different too. I'm trying to decide if it will be easier to trim the chassis or transplant the Johan nose and fast back rear onto the Revell body. I added a couple pice to show how much bigger the Revell body is.

was looking for info on a full detail stock kitbash...

I'm not sure what you mean. Both posts will yield a stock 72 Torino with an engine and modern chassis.

I've looked into it and did some work for years. My plan was to use the AMT/JoHan NASCAR kit chassis. It's frame is stock and I was adding the stampings to the flat floorpan.

Then when Revell did the S&H Torino, but as stated WB is off and it does not fit under JoHan body.

The JoHan promo has a nice stock chassis but it is a single piece with everything molded in.

Here is my MPC body, JoHan promo chassis and interior. Otaki wheels. Thx
