Started this one awhile ago to go along with my 32 vicky. Like the Vicky your on your own to make any thing close to the box art. I lowered the body, made a new interior. The only thing from the kit is the body, chassis, wheels and engine. Tires are resin copies I did.  Colors Im thinking about a 2 tone Maroon and Tan.

Looking good.

Interesting that kit apparently comes with the blobular molded-in-rear-axle chassis, as IIRC, the regular 5-window coupe is one of the AMT '32s that has a separate rear axle.

Are the wheels-tires-engine shown on the box-art included in the kit?

IIRC, it is the Standard AMT '32 Coupe in the Box. There is a (poor) set of notes on scratch building the conversion parts for the Short Tracker, and maybe a note referencing"Fred's Resin Workshop" as a source for some parts. They were very disappointing kits, but the only way to get AMT '32 Fords (at least those versions) at the time they were made.  I wanted one, until I saw what was in the box.

The wheels and flathead are in the box,but the pipes are scrap plastic rod and I did a mold from the Pinto modified tires and did a bunch in resin.

This is the kit that got me back into model building in the mid 90's after a long hiatus. It also took me on a short track building journey following after the history and legends of early dirt track racing. I soon found myself joining FRW forums and becoming friends with the resin legend himself, Fred Sudlow. Though I have lost track of those days I enjoy the memories whenever I see a build like yours. Enjoy!

I bought them both when they first came out before any reviews were out. The 32 Vic comes with 3 sets of decals for the race version. The coupe came with one sheet.  I found it odd AMT called them 4 in 1 kits..

The paint came out close to what I wanted to do. Im not sure which decal numbers to use, leaning towards the white #22 kit decals. The flathead is a snug fit with all cutting of frame and body.

This is looking real good! Yeah, I remember getting a couple of these kits back when and was shocked when I looked through the box.
