1959scudetto Posted September 29, 2024 Posted September 29, 2024 (edited) During a short break from my Ford P68 WIP, I got this Welly 550 Spyder: a bit toylike, therefore a little Snake-Fu was necessary: some detail painting, home-made "Pierre leatherstraps", red flashes on the rear fenders, some period- correct decals from the spares (numbers from an old Fred Cady sheet) and a '56 Cal. license plate from the Galaxie Chevrolet - here is the result: Edited September 29, 2024 by 1959scudetto 3
Ace-Garageguy Posted September 29, 2024 Posted September 29, 2024 (edited) Looks good. What scale (or did I overlook it) ? EDIT: Never mind. You say you used a tag from the Galaxie Chevy, so it must be 1/24-1/25. Edited September 29, 2024 by Ace-Garageguy CLARITY 1

caapa Posted September 29, 2024 Posted September 29, 2024 Hi Helmut, it really became a model with the additions. I have in scale 1:72 a one and a two seater racer #55 from Schuco. Have you considered a one-seat conversion ? 1
1959scudetto Posted September 29, 2024 Author Posted September 29, 2024 Hi Janos, not yet, maybe later. I got this one with a 20% discount, so I ordered it (from the photos I saw on the internet I was not so convinced of its proportions first, but it is workable)
Gramps46 Posted September 30, 2024 Posted September 30, 2024 I like what you did with your Snake Fu!!! 1
