WillyBilly Posted October 6, 2024 Posted October 6, 2024 Purchased this beginner model to match my 1:1 version in my driveway. Painted the body panels Snazzbery pearl as Jeep calls it. Then I used Testor's Xtreme wet look clear lacquer to finish. The grill was painted black, as was the rims. I just need to find some 1/25 "WILLYS" decals for the hood. 2
NOBLNG Posted October 6, 2024 Posted October 6, 2024 Cool looking project!? I haven’t seen one of these kits before. My wife has a 2014 JKU with a manual trans and I love it. I’m not going to let her trade it in when she’s ready for another vehicle.? 1
oldcarfan Posted October 13, 2024 Posted October 13, 2024 I found one of these at a HobbyTown and passed it up. Now I'm regretting it. Looks like you're doing a great job.
Snowbear Posted April 10 Posted April 10 I just ordered one from Walmart. I'll paint it to match my 2021 JTO, "Shorty."
Chuckyg1 Posted April 12 Posted April 12 Looks like a nice kit despite the parts count. I just picked up this same paint for a future project. What primer did you use.
slusher Posted April 13 Posted April 13 (edited) Real nice color, Hobby Lobby has some of these kits but never really looked at them… Edited April 13 by slusher Typo mistake
