Mark W Posted October 13, 2024 Posted October 13, 2024 1968 Bullitt Mustang done! Some of the mods were correcting the inside door handle, Cobra steering wheel, grab straps and white ball shifter. Outside was to take off the backup lights and paint the rear bumper guards, rocker panel molding and round side view mirror. 11
Tim W. SoCal Posted October 13, 2024 Posted October 13, 2024 Bitchen' Bullitt Mustang, Mark! Been following your WIP posts on this project. I just received the Highland Green paint to build my own... 1
Ragtop Man Posted October 13, 2024 Posted October 13, 2024 This is what I hear when I see that build. Great job on it!
STU111 Posted October 13, 2024 Posted October 13, 2024 Nice job Mark, right down to the licence plate. Glad you modeled it pre chase and not after! Although, a before and after display would give you an excuse to build another. ???
Falcon Ranchero Posted October 13, 2024 Posted October 13, 2024 Really cool, looks just like the movie. Should consider building the black Charger also to have a nice set. 1
espo Posted October 13, 2024 Posted October 13, 2024 You definitely captured the look of the movie car. The finishes look like a real street driven vehicle. I'm bias since the movie was and is still one of my favorites, and always liked Steve McQueen anyway. The wheels and stance look spot on. 1
carrucha Posted October 13, 2024 Posted October 13, 2024 Nice work on an iconic movie car. I never get tired of watching the car chase scene.

I also used their 10% flat to get the movie “sheen”.

Yeah, they scuffed the finish on the movie car, I used MCW 10% flat to try to duplicate it. Getting the stance took a few spacers and a lot of fitting. Thanks! 1

Chinacar Posted October 14, 2024 Posted October 14, 2024 Great to see this classic movie car reproduced so faithfully.

ncbuckeye67 Posted October 14, 2024 Posted October 14, 2024 That looks amazing! I foolishly traded my original release away but found a sealed kit at a show last year. Now my 68 & 08 are reunited. 1

I already have too many projects, but I already bought the ‘68 Charger wheel covers and chromed them, I also got the resin round side markers. Took my ‘69 Charger and puttied over the square markers. Another project on the bench. 1
