Augie Pabst passed away last week at the age of 90 yrs old.  To those who remember the heyday of '50's & '60's road racing, he was a legend.  I've talked to him many times in the pits at Elkhart Lake & he was always approachable & pleasant.  His stable included (one of three) front engined Scarab-the Meister Hauser special,(one of one) rear engined Scarab road racer-once used as his daily driver, an early '60s "E" type jag coupe, & an Aston Martin DB3 modified production racer.  His death is a great loss to the road racing community.  He was one of the last "gentlemen racers".

Had no idea this happened. Sad I didn't see anything about this until now as he had a great history. Always liked that Scarab.
