Brutalform Posted October 25, 2024 Posted October 25, 2024 Since Scenes Unlimited is no more, does anyone know of a source for these wheel backs? I’m down to my last four, and can’t seem to find anything similar. These backs require very minimal work, if any, to incorporate into projects. ST that took over SU doesn’t seem to have any. Thank you
NOBLNG Posted October 25, 2024 Posted October 25, 2024 I am really disappointed that Scenes Unlimited is no longer. They had some really nice wheels and tires. A wheel back like that should be fairly easy to fabricate though from sheet stock….especially if you have some large 1/2”-5/8”? punches. Depending on what wheels you have…I’m not a fan the solid wheel backs anyway.
yh70 Posted October 25, 2024 Posted October 25, 2024 (edited) if your friends with someone that 3D print's they should be able to hook you up. i have had a lot of parts printed just from pictures. Edited October 25, 2024 by yh70 1
bobss396 Posted October 27, 2024 Posted October 27, 2024 I have a decent stash of wheel backs. I pick up any I see at shows. In a pinch I had to make some when I had engine lathe access. Some 3D printing vendors make them, I can't think of one right now. Possibly Ron Coon but those fit stock car tires fir the most part. If you can, look at some of the AMT stock car wheel backs.
