Hello all, :( Im doing a build that requires a custom paint job and I want to use house of kolor brand paint. The color I'm looking for is tangelo pearl orange. Does anyone know of a reliable vendor or source that I use to get house of kolor paints in an aerosol can? I was at show last year and a vendor had a few cans of house of kolor in an aerosol, But they sold out in a snap and he said he bought them in a liquidation sale. So I know they exist. Any help would be appreciated. Take care everyone  Nate V

Hi there

I've used the HOK Tangelo, that I get at an auto parts store here in Portland. It gives beautiful results.

Remember though, that' a more traditional, Dupli-color/Plasticote style acrylic lacquer based paint, not the urethane product more associated with the "REAL" brand of HOK.

Only one chain carries it here that I know of. I've heard it can be hard to find. Get in touch with "VALSPAR", the manufacturer, and they'll tell you about a store closest to you that carries what you need.

Hi Nate

Inate paint also carries House of Color paints. I like both resellers Blackgold and inate you choose. Also Detail Master

carries HOK paint so now their are 3 plases to get that I know of

INATE PAINT

BLACK GOLD

DETAIL MASTER

Have fun That's a fantastic color I sprayed a car with that and used yellow as the base coat WOW did it ever POP.

I was watching Foose on the speed channel and he said in order to get the fantastic colors out of

Orange and red Top coats to use Yellow as a base. I tried it and was I ever impressed.

I know this is an old thread but I am looking for the same color; HOK - Tangelo Pearl and found a 4oz bottle at TCPglobal.com/kustomshop for $10.95. This was the lowest price I could find online. Anyone tried this vendor before?

Hey Brad,

I used them for my newest airbrush and compressor about a year ago, their service was fantastic, prompt shipping, email updates, no hidden costs, everything was exactly as it should be. Also did one other accessory order, same great results, I wouldn't hesitate to use them.

Don't know if his email address is still good or if he still handles the paint, but I got some items from Terry Love in 2009, no problems with him either, he seems like a real good guy.

Hope this helps.

Coast was (couple of months ago) at least $1.00 cheaper than TCP for the 2oz pre-mixed bottles.

I've ordered quite a bit from TCP in the last year but will be going to Coast with my next order.

Hiya Fatkidd and Big Mike. Hope you guys are doing well.

Black Gold is the only correct supplier of HOK rattlecans....I use Coast and Slixx.

Slixx does carry the Black Gold
