Mike 1017 Posted November 26, 2024 Posted November 26, 2024 Has anyone purchased any products from them? I really hate to buy direct from a Chinese owned company. The item that I want to purchase is 50% lower than any US companies have to offer. This how they get you hooked. Thanks Mike
iamsuperdan Posted November 26, 2024 Posted November 26, 2024 I've been tempted a few times, but have never moved forward. Same with Temu. Something just seems sketchy. Interested to see what others have experienced.
ranma Posted November 26, 2024 Posted November 26, 2024 (edited) Yes I have Bought from them, Otherwise what I buy would be much higher priced on ebay!. That and it's free shipping!!!!! I only had one order that never left china, But i got a full refund because of that. Although I've only bought my Favorite kind of underwear from them as well as Temu... Ace-Garageguy Posted November 26, 2024 Posted November 26, 2024 In my experience, most everything Chinese can be found as cheap going through feePay as buying from some Chinese site. It only takes a little effort...and I'm STILL having to use feePay much as I hate them because a lot of what I need simply is not available from American suppliers, and when it IS, it's just marked-up Chinese stuff anyway. I DO like feePay's and PayPal's buyer protection schemes, so if what I get is substandard garbage or just never arrives, I get my money back.
YellowHound Posted November 26, 2024 Posted November 26, 2024 I've been buying quite a few bits from there over the last couple of weeks - mostly tools, but also a model kit and some detail sets. I had one order cancelled (quoted delivery 'issues') and refunded. Everything else has come through just fine. I'm in the UK and have either saved a decent amount or been able to buy something that is just not available here.
slusher Posted November 26, 2024 Posted November 26, 2024 If you used PayPal and it does not work out you can get your money back.. 1
dragstk Posted December 1, 2024 Posted December 1, 2024 Ive bought a bunch of bicycle stuff on AliExpress. You have to buy from them with the tight expectations. Its not going to be as good as the name brand stuff, usually. But if your just trying something new, its a good way to get into that new project. But I have been satisfied with the stuff Ive bought, 90% of the time. And most of the time, if you have an issue, the sellers have always tried to fix the problem so they dont get a bad review.. Oh, And it can take a while to get delivered.
fumi Posted December 10, 2024 Posted December 10, 2024 I buy from TaoBao, the local version of AliExpress, all the time. Never had any serious issue with my purchases, on a few purchases of really rare items they failed to find them and refunded promptly. Choose stores that are in business for at least 5 years with customer score of at least 4.8/5.0, read their customer reviews and you should be fine. With the volume they sell it is very hard to fake ratings and they will get kicked out if there are too many negative feedbacks.
Mike C Posted December 19, 2024 Posted December 19, 2024 I bought a few items from them, never had a problem.
