Part2 of my updates, body is painted and cleared and applied the decals, but the decals didn't want to curl around the body that well, even after lots of decal softener was applied!😡IMG_7272.JPG.f0a092d6142b7d0d12cdc31ab1804de2.JPGIMG_7271.JPG.efb62182945f5dd23d17569525eb1eb0.JPGIMG_7273.JPG.437b35540d808b69eafb631611c212f1.JPG

The engine is installed,i had to modify the exhaust since i put in a Hemi,i used Alclad Hot metal Sepia to heat stain the exhaust. That's it for now.

Beautiful realistic looking finishes.

Awesome looking build of my all time favorite Mopar!!

A tiny bit of advice if I may. The wheels in the kit are meant to be the Rally wheels with trim rings. The wheel weights would be behind the trim rings instead of on them.

Thanks for the heads up,i used superglue to hold them,so i can't fix it,but i'll remember it for future Mopar builds.

Nope.

Making my own

Its a Kit I body I cut the roof off of.

Used the MPC 1968 Body as a guide .

Molded sunvisors are from Revell Dart kit.

1968 kit on right

my 1970 on left

Got the resin RT stuff from harts parts ....I think.

It's been a while so not 100% sure

Only seems right to make it a convertible since that’s the interior tub they’ve been using in that kit for years. I wish someone would design and or print a correct interior tub for this kit.

Okay back on the bench: i grinded out the headlights before any painting was done and replaced the lenses with extra 69'Camaro'sIMG_7295.JPG.ef968c007c0bc17f964ee8fc2ac1b6eb.JPGIMG_7296.JPG.faa217d5fe92d91c328aa5b849ad57d4.JPG

When it came time to join everything together the trouble started there was warpage i never saw i pretty much took it all apart and with multiple runs under hot water i just couldn't fix it.IMG_7298.JPG.c16893083d27e47d9b476ba359556a15.JPGIMG_7297-Copy.JPG.7551c161c2704bb2616518dd2afcbdc3.JPG

Aircleaner decal is from Rays kits, still have some touch up work to do,door handles are from Fireball and the trunk and door locks are P/E pieces.IMG_7299.JPG.7430deb07f4b7cf2cbdbf90fc1e978f2.JPGIMG_7300.JPG.8252870468db09662cf19a0139c5c4f2.JPG

That's it for now,i'm a little disappointed in the look so far, hopefully better results on the next build.

Warps aside, it looks great! Your applications of paint, details far outweigh AMT’s quality control. I would certainly display it! Well done, indeed!
