Durango Posted January 6 Posted January 6 How do you stick your seat belt material to your seat. I have the seatbelt kit, but the material won't stick to the seat. Help
LennyB Posted January 6 Posted January 6 I have the same kit but have not tried using it yet. I would think you could just glue it down with some CA. Or if you are going to use the anchors you could pin them in place.
Exotics_Builder Posted January 7 Posted January 7 I use a small dab of CA glue. I also glue a small bit of Evergreen strip sized to fit under the lock to give it some depth.
peteski Posted January 7 Posted January 7 (edited) The belt material is just a cloth ribbon - it has no adhesive on it. As others stated, you need to cleanly glue it to the seat. CA glue or even white glue can be messy if not applied carefully. Another alternative would be to coat one side of the belt (after adding the buckles) with a thin layer of Microscale Metal Foil Adhesive. It is a white fluid which becomes clear when dry, and it remains sticky. Then just stick the belts to the seats. Edited January 8 by peteski 1
Mike 1017 Posted January 7 Posted January 7 I use the E 6000. I place some on a toothpick. Place the glue where I wanted on the seat. Wait about 5 minutes the push down the seat belt material down with a clean toothpick. I have tried CA but I don't like the results. Good Luck Mike
Brutalform Posted January 7 Posted January 7 These are paper belts from Pro Tech colored with a Sharpie. Just a tiny dab of Bob Smith CA glue is what works for me.
