I just noticed from watching the races this week that on the Xfinity cars and probably the cup cars they don't call them Camaros and Mustangs anymore. they have Ford, Toyota, and Chevrolet on the bumper and rear fascia.

I hate to see that you are having trouble with the decals.  That would totally take the wind out of my sails. 🫤. I didn’t see you mention this so I thought I would toss it out there.  Have you tried using heat on the decals?  Many guys use a hairdryer to soften up the decals.  Personally, I use a small hobby heat gun, but you have to be very careful with those.  A hairdryer just blows too much for my liking.  Anyhow, hope this helps and good luck!

Yea, I noticed this. I would definitely like to do one of each car maker in the future.

Thanks for the suggestion. I didn’t try heat as of yet. I do have an electric space heater, that actually does an excellent job of warming the lacquer paint cans. And it’s adjustable. If I must use heat, I’m gonna give it a go. Salvinos is sending me a new sheet, because this one had a crease on the # 5 door decal. So now I can redo the rear roof decal, because that was put on first, when I should have temporarily installed the side windows, with decals, and then the sail panel decals, to properly match the rear roof decal. This is definitely a learning experience.

Been working on a Kenworth, but I took a break, and turned to this one to get finished up. The decals are SO time consuming. Pretty much put a decal on, drench it with Mark Fit Strong, and let it dry overnight. Then do another decal or two, and repeat the process all over again. All that’s left, is a cleaning, and a clear coat or two, and put the glass in, and this one is done.

I was wondering if anyone has treated the clear windows that have decals, with Future? Would this be a good idea? I’m worried they might try to come off down the road.
