Good evening guys it’s been a while since I was on here but I have been building and working on my collection and I finally finished my 1/16th scale California Dragster I been working on for about 11 months.

Awesome build! I have this kit started but it is stalled at the moment. Are those the plug wires from the kit or did you use something different? Another question what color did you use inside the air scoop?

thank you! for the scoop i used a flat red from testor's and the wires i used from another dragster kit I had.  This kit I had to start all over with new decals as the ones it came with ripped on me while laying them down! t was hell to make them lay flat and hug shapes even with decal set. The Rear rims i got from my club brother Paul Mendoza and I sprayed them with the Testors chrome paint and had gto wait over a week for them to dry. Even the side wing i painted with the chrome paint and waited for them to dry to.

I have the  US Army dragster funny car kit with both I’m building at the same time next.😎

Beautiful work, looks a lot better than the job I did on the original issue back in the day! Remember buying one from Zayre’s(?) for a weeks worth of “newspaper delivery” money!

Just got back from the Grand Nationals in Pamona today and it got 2nd place in large scale drag race and my 1/16th scale T Bucket got 3rd in miscellaneous class

Ive always thought The Keeling - Clayton cars were one of the best looking FED of the era , bar none

I agree! I want to build the Pinto funny car and rear engine dragster to go with it.
