I have a complete body but no chassis and was wondering if anyone has ever put one togather on another chassis,I have heard horror stories about trying to put the chassis that came with it togather.

There's nothing "horror" about building the kit chassis if you have reasonable skills, follow the instructions, pay attention, and don't rush it.

HOWEVER...I started this one on a zee'd AMT '32 phaeton chassis a long time ago...

I've seen an Orange Crate body used with the Revell street rod chassis (3-window, 5-window, etc) to make a chopped tudor sedan.

The worst part about the Orange Crate chassis is that it's chrome. You can't fix the mold lines, of which there are many, without ruining the chrome. You also have to clean up all the mounting points on the very fragile parts. When I attempt this kit again I'm going to strip all the chrome and once it's complete hit it with a "chrome" spray or pen.

I also had just the body, the yellow version, so I fitted a Revell frame, I do like to do a lot of modifications, so I can't say it's easy, but for me it was fun.

You wouldn't have to go as far as I did, but you will end up with a better looking frame with many glue-on options from all the Revell '32 kit variations.

The entire build is in the WIP '32 sedan build, step by step.
