Danger Posted April 28, 2009 Posted April 28, 2009 This is one of my favourite cars. The Lamborghini Miura. The plan is to paint it Italian Red with a Dark Bronze rims and rockers. Red and black interior. This will be the second time using my new airbrush. Hope it turns out. Please follow along and offer feedback. Thanks
Danger Posted April 28, 2009 Author Posted April 28, 2009 During removal of the plastic grill I broke it. And after the first few coats of paint.
Foxer Posted April 28, 2009 Posted April 28, 2009 Bah on the grill. Maybe a small pin or two in over sized holes if there's enough room? Or a thin brass splice plate across the outside edge. All bonded/glued with thin epoxy. That Miura body IS luscious!
Randy Kern Posted April 28, 2009 Posted April 28, 2009 Good luck with your Miura, it will no doubt be beautiful when done. Too bad about the grille, but the parts to really watch are the side window louvers. Very fragile! Here's a link to one I did a while back. http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.p...ic=7748&hl=
Danger Posted April 29, 2009 Author Posted April 29, 2009 Very nice build Randy! I hope mine turns out as nice. I was able to fix the grill with some epoxy and support. I love the idea of hinging the engine cover. I may have to revisit that option. Here a a couple more pics.
Nick F40 Posted May 1, 2009 Posted May 1, 2009 Ohhhh yes, one of my all times also. This is a REAL sportscar. You can have your 200+MPH, paddle shifter, traction control, heated setas, anyday, give me one of these.
Danger Posted May 13, 2009 Author Posted May 13, 2009 The wheels are done as is the interior tub. Added some seatbelts.
FujimiLover Posted May 13, 2009 Posted May 13, 2009 Very nice build Randy! I hope mine turns out as nice. I was able to fix the grill with some epoxy and support. I love the idea of hinging the engine cover. I may have to revisit that option. Here a a couple more pics. Hmmmm, those seats almost look like my Diablo's! Except yours has a larger head rest than mine. Oh yea, and mines got breather holes. But still, very, very similar and same color combo! The Mirua is a beautiful car for it's time.
Danger Posted May 15, 2009 Author Posted May 15, 2009 The grill is fixed. The body needs a finish polish.
FujimiLover Posted May 15, 2009 Posted May 15, 2009 The grill is fixed. The body needs a finish polish. Nice job! Can't wait to see'er underglass!

cruz Posted September 5, 2009 Posted September 5, 2009 This is an interesting project, I have always liked these cars too, I remember seeing Randy's up close and he did a terrific job on his. Not only that, he goes out and gives me one for free!!! Thought I forgot about that Bro???? One day I will build it and probably end up giving it back to him painted and glued together!!! Thanks Randy!!!
Danger Posted September 15, 2009 Author Posted September 15, 2009 Thanks. The car was originally built between 66 & 72. The kit is from Hasegawa. My version is a P400SV. What year is this? I've never seen a Lambo like this one. They way you did the rocker and wheels looks great.Nice work !
