If the Jesse James Gang were still around back, then. Those Corvettes would have never reached their intended destinations.

Wasn't that the era of the 195hp (160 +/- at rear wheels) Corvettes?  Have I told you how much the 1970's s**ked for cars?  Well, child, they did.

I'd bet that, wherever they are now, at least a couple of them still have those window stickers in place...

They were sort of unique at the time. I was working at a Chevrolet dealership at the time and the story as I recall it was this each dealer could order one. Many dealers including my employer put his in storage with the idea that they would increase in value to collectors over time. There was some demand for the ones that were ordered with the optional higher output engine. Living in California at the time the YF5 option Cal. Emission required on anything sold new in California meant we only saw the standard engine cars. Today they don't seem as sought after as they once were.
