Ace-Garageguy Posted March 5 Posted March 5 (edited) Big bummer. I was in Mojave at a conference at the airport just down the road from his shop in about 2011, but the party I was with was in too big a hurry to get going. Always figured I'd get to meet him after I moved out West, looks like I waited a little too long. I learned a whole lot from him over the years anyway though. They don't make 'em like that anymore... NYLIBUD Posted March 7 Posted March 7 (edited) What is this, the greatest people who died this week?First Gene Hackman, and Gene Winfield. Both happen to be icons in their fields..I really liked seeing Gene on Full Custom Garage’s with Ian Roussel…Two distinct master craftsman,It seems like we have lost most of the the best old school car builders.RIP Gene.. bobss396 Posted March 8 Posted March 8 He was around forever and was not shy about passing down knowledge to others. We were lucky to have him for as long as we did. 1
