I'd be interested in other years and classes as well. Thanks! Best to go to my web site - Top Stock and SS results, factoring and Meet information from 1961-1969. https://skunkwerkssuperstock.wordpress.com/1968-2/
Carmak Posted October 21 Posted October 21 I just got my Round2 1:64 diecast Landy 68 Coronet in the mail. Round2 obviously has and license and the artwork. I am cautiously optimistic about a Landy version of the new 68 Coronet kit. 3
Rattus Patrolus Posted October 21 Posted October 21 For what its worth, Landy took 3 cars to the Winter Nats - Dick drove the 440 Dart, Mike Landy drive the 67 Hemi Coronet (This was NOT a WO23 SuperStock car) and the driver of the 68 Coronet R/T was the hotshoe Butch Leal (Previously raced the California Flash). Butch ran the 440 car in SS/FA beating the 68 Firebird of Tony Knieper. The ‘T’ decal represents a Class winner so the top pic is an Elimination run. 2

Its a light dust coat of TS44 light blue met. Sprayed over the darker blue which I think is Mica Blue The Mica blue was far too dark, But TS44 was too light. The 1 sprayed over top of the other came out darn close to what I wanted , Which is the Dart kits blue stripe, That one is all kit decals Edited Thursday at 03:21 PM by gtx6970

250 Testa Rossa Posted Sunday at 05:14 AM Posted Sunday at 05:14 AM I would love to see a Landy Coronet come out as well as a reissue of the MPC '68 Charger 1

But overall the Revell kit is much better 1
GMP440 Posted Sunday at 08:15 PM Author Posted Sunday at 08:15 PM (edited) Round 2/Auto World just released the Dick Landy 68 Coronet diecast. Looks like they have some agreement to use the Landy name. If that's the case I bet we will be seeing a 1/18th scale diecast of the Landy 68 Coronet in future. To go one step further, what are the chances we will see Round 2 do a third release of the 1/25 scale MPC 68 Coronet R/T kit as a Dick Landy 68 Coronet? Edited yesterday at 12:50 AM by GMP440 none 1
CapSat 6 Posted Sunday at 11:52 PM Posted Sunday at 11:52 PM It would be nice to see Round 2 do a Landy ‘68. They should tool up nice new Cragars on a small shot of their own (perhaps copied from the old MPC units we used to see in their ‘71-‘76 Road Runner annuals, but NOT like the new ones in that ‘71 Demon kit) to throw in the box. For that matter, Round 2 could tool up a new hood, one piece rear valance and grille inserts for their ‘69 Charger, to at least bring that one up to “acceptable”, and do a Landy release. I’m sure with the Cragars, decals and new parts per above, they could wring new sales out of that old chestnut. Now speaking of diecast- and I don’t want to turn this into a hijack- along with the new ‘68 Coronet R/T (which will apparently have convertibles coming in 1/64 within a few months, according to the preorders on some sites), they have also just released a really, really nice ‘70 Fury. This gives me hope that they are at least considering a 1/25 kit.
