freightshaker2 Posted March 9 Posted March 9 The black W900A that IMT Transport has used to be my friend Rob Spencer from Watsontown. I built a tribute truck to that. It was a ROG W900 kit. Stretched the frame to 280" scratchbuilt outlaw steps, added longer full tanks, used 1/24 scale wheels from Black Sheep Customs, this gives the illusion of 24.5 wheels. Italeri michelins for the sneakers. Scratchbuilt visor, modified kit grille to make custom grille, make the chrome skirts under the cab and sleeper. Low hogebilt quarters from MTB. Scratchbuilt front bumper and stacks. Molotow chrome paint and chrome vinyl for the bumper and visor. Custom made logo for the door. I put Rob's because in my head it will always be his. Haha. Here's some pics. I wanna build a diorama for better pics at some point.. inspiration pic is on here too. 8
cifenet Posted March 10 Posted March 10 What an excellent 1/25th scale precision/reproduction truck you have constructed here! Nice work, and I know it isn’t easy making it look this good! 👍
freightshaker2 Posted March 12 Author Posted March 12 Thanks guys. I'm trying to decide what to do next.. build a display case for it or just put it in my office as is... I'd hate it for it to get super dusty tho setting there.
Jürgen M. Posted March 15 Posted March 15 Well done! I can imagine it's hard looking at a model getting dustier every day! The question to me has always been, which one goes in the case and which one doesn't? A hard decision! You'll do the right thing!

It's like watching your hard work go to pot when ya see them getting dusty. Struggles
cifenet Posted March 17 Posted March 17 Super sweet! You have replicated this truck and captured the required characteristics very well! Great effort and high quality build! 👍
Gary Chastain Posted March 18 Posted March 18 This build sure did turn out really well. Color looks perfect.
freightshaker2 Posted March 18 Author Posted March 18 Thanks everyone! I was thinking about building the sister truck to this one that IMT owns as well. It's a burgundy color with cream stripes.
Brenton Posted April 21 Posted April 21 What a beautiful truck! True artistry! Wonderful craftsmanship! 1
