Belugawrx Posted March 10 Posted March 10 I built my buddy the H2 carbon about 5 years ago, and at that time picked up this H2R, but didn't feel up to doing 2 in a row...so it sat... At the time I had already assembled the frame and shot it with a Duplicolor gold and then Tamiya clear green out of the airbrush Drilled out the rotors and Duplicolor Chromed them.. Now 5 years later I'm thinking, no, I can't build out of box Going to try to build a track bike with maybe a tobacco livery just for fun Engine nearing completion Need to modulate that wash just a little...looks a little too dirty...like there's a leaky oil pan...lol More soon Comments questions and critiques always welcome Cheers 2
Belugawrx Posted March 11 Author Posted March 11 More done to the engine... And of course a little mockup 3
Belugawrx Posted March 11 Author Posted March 11 I've got a set of Marlboro Decals I think I can fit in somewhere I'm thinking of masking the point of the white gable in the middle of the gas tank, and red from there back.... 3
mustang1989 Posted March 11 Posted March 11 This is a good lookin' bike build Bruce. Engine detail is "all that" and the weathered effects look great on it. 1

mustang1989 Posted March 14 Posted March 14 It has been a while hasn't it. I'll make it more of a habit to drop in on your works and to say "Hey" Bruce. This is continuing to look swell and is building up nicely bud. 1
Belugawrx Posted March 15 Author Posted March 15 Got the rear end attached, some body panels on to plot out the livery 2

Anyway, this is the final mockup for masking.... Took off the flourescent front fender tag..just didn't fit in...I see the line where the red needs to follow down the side skirts to the front fender, and it'll get another red chevron on top...lot's of fun taking apart and putting back together... Cheers 3
Belugawrx Posted March 21 Author Posted March 21 (edited) Welp...got a few wires to hook up and the grips to paint and some paint touch ups and this machine is going 'Under Glass' this weekend... Great kit!.. lot's of fun to build! Edited March 21 by Belugawrx 3
Codi Posted March 24 Posted March 24 That's just a striking bike Bruce. So aggressive looking by design. Well done sir. cheers, tim 1
Belugawrx Posted March 25 Author Posted March 25 Hey thanks for stopping by Tim...yeah when you have extra decals you gotta use 'em up..lol The masking and painting took the most time..the Tamiya kit went together flawlessly, but I can't build anything out of box I guess 1
mustang1989 Posted March 28 Posted March 28 Man.......the detail in this puppy is just all THAT Bruce. Amazing work on this bike with all of the paint and intricate work throughout. BTW......I feel your pain on doggy undercoat shedding. As a result.....my dogs are banned from the modeling room. lol 1
