it makes them more difficult to get looking right, the molded in lights tend to be soft on details and edges of trim aren't defined as clear as they could be

R&D Unique did a resin 1950 kit a few years back. There is one for sale on eBay right now, but it's not cheap (Buy It Now - $175.00). This might be the only viable game in town at this time.

I know MCW did some at one time. Don't know if they are still in their line up. Basically a promo repop with the headlights molded in like previously mentioned.
