STU111 Posted May 12 Posted May 12 I bought this kit around 12-13 years ago mainly to try and get my son interested in the hobby. Because it was a jet, he thought it was cool and we built the cockpit assembly together, but he did eventually lose interest despite my best efforts. Because l was more into WW2 era stuff l packed it up and forgot about it. A couple of years ago the movie Top Gun Maverick hit the cinemas and my son and l went and watched it. To cut a long story short I enjoyed the movie and it made me want to drag it out and finish it. Any comments are welcome and thanks for looking. Cheers, Stuart. 👍🏻 6
mustang1989 Posted May 12 Posted May 12 Pretty sharp small-scale Hornet there Stuart. Did your son get a little more interested in trying something like this out after you guys watched the movie and you finishing this one up? 1

Hi Joe, unfortunately no, he’s got his own interests and that’s okay. He does like to check out my new builds when l place them in the display case though.
TonyK Posted May 13 Posted May 13 Nice looking model plane. I'm always impressed when the canopy detail painting is done well. 1
