I know someone used to make this body in resin But cant find it now or remember who made it

And Ive gone down all kinds of Google searches to no avail

Or, if I can come up with a reasonable facsimile of the rear roof section. I can maybe make my own

Suggestions or ideas ? Im all ears

Moebius offers both a stock Belvedere I and a drag version as well. They are outstanding kits and well detailed and great parts fitment.

MCW made it awhile back, not sure if they still do. You could contact Mike and ask him if it's not currently available.

If you attempt your own conversion, first thing to do is research the windshield.  See if the glass is different for the sedan/wagon versus the hardtop.  If they are different, the sedan/wagon will be a couple of inches taller.

They aren't always different.  GM usually is different, Ford often is, Chrysler is hit and miss.  The '62 B-bodies for example use the same windshield glass for hardtops and sedans, meaning the sedan roof isn't taller on those cars.  The same glass for both would make the conversion somewhat easier.

Sedan glass is in fact taller

More vertical on a 1/1.

Not sure it would matter that much to me in a model car

A couple of scale inches will make a difference.  See "Revell 1991 Mustang LX"

The Lindberg '64 Plymouth hardtop has the weird angle at the rear of the roof.  The Lindberg 64 Dodge is a sedan.  It's a long shot if they could be combined.

I have several of the Dodge kits . I'll take a look maybe later today,,,, but I think the rear glass shape is all wrong for the 66

I see MCW no longer shows the 66 Plymouth in a sedan. BUT they do show a 1966 Coronet.? So maybe !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sent him a message this morning to ask

Sorry, I didn't notice the small character lines on the C pillar and thought this might work.

I see the 66 Belvedere sedan will be available again soon but as I read the posts I had a thought:

Elwood Engel took control of Mopar design in the early 60's. The all new 1965 C-bodies were pure Engel. The heavily refreshed 1966 B-bodies shared a lot to the design ques from the 1965 C-bodies. This is very clear in the roof design.

The JoHan 68 Fury squad car roof has a similar shaped C pilar with a character line running parallel to the window opening like the 66-67 B-Body sedans do.

The Fury C pilar does have a steeper angle and it looks a little thicker to my eye so it would NOT be a slam dunk roof swap.

Interesting idea.

I'll take a look, But I dont have one of the 68 Fury to part out , and they arent exactly cheap

Might be easier / cheaper to just wait for the MCW resin body

The MCW is a nice body and comes with a base interior. I'd wait on it. If you are like me, you have a bunch of other projects you can work on.

Oh believe me

I have plenty to work on even if the Belv 1 body never shows

But I would like to build either the Grotheer car in above epic. Or the Jere Stahl sedan SS car
