Warren D Posted June 3 Posted June 3 Calling it done. In spite of the issues with the aftermarket conversion kit, I'm happy with the way this turned out. Cab and chassis from the AFV Club M54A2 5 ton kit, wrecker conversion from Hobby Link. 3

ksnow Posted June 10 Posted June 10 Really nice looking wrecker. A good friend was a wrecker operator in VietNam, I should ask what he drove.
dad vader Posted June 15 Posted June 15 Very nice. Looks just like the one I operated in the Army, but mine was in camo scheme. Drove the 543 for 8 months then got upgraded to an M816. The 816 pulled way better.

Thanks, I added a couple of things that were missing in the instructions. On 6/10/2025 at 7:40 AM, Scott Eriksen said: Came out great! Thank you! Thanks, there were a few different types, mostly on either the deuce or 5 ton chassis. On 6/13/2025 at 8:15 PM, DRIPTROIT 71 said: Looks awesome!
