Warren D Posted June 3 Posted June 3 Calling it done. In spite of the issues with the aftermarket conversion kit, I'm happy with the way this turned out. Cab and chassis from the AFV Club M54A2 5 ton kit, wrecker conversion from Hobby Link. 4

dad vader Posted June 15 Posted June 15 Very nice. Looks just like the one I operated in the Army, but mine was in camo scheme. Drove the 543 for 8 months then got upgraded to an M816. The 816 pulled way better.

Thank you for your service! Yes, after "Nam" I was in from 82, to 87. Stationed Ft Sill, Ok, Gessien Germany, and Ft Bliss, Tx. Worked recovery in Ok, Third shop, in Germany, and rebuild in Tx. started as a 63W , and Got upgraded to 63H , worked on both wheeled and track vehicles.
