mikemodeler Posted Thursday at 09:14 PM Posted Thursday at 09:14 PM On the August Round2 preview on YouTube, Chad shows the Jeepster kit. It has the half top and full top build options. Does not appear to have the lifted suspension like the Mount-N-Goat version. Did not have the snow plow illustrated on the box. Looks intriguing enough to get one or two next month. 1
stavanzer Posted Thursday at 11:54 PM Posted Thursday at 11:54 PM I just double checked the video. No Snowplow on the boxart, or hinted at anywhere else. Looks like all we get are the long roof parts. Looks like the Lifted Parts and Extra Rims, and huge tires from the Mount'n'Goat are not here. So, a much more 'stock facing' kit, as they say nowadays. Looking at a freeze frame of the bottom of the box, It looks like the interior door panels have not been brought back to full length. You do get the Half-Cab roof, and the Long Roof parts, Two sets of chromed jeep wheels (and a possible set of steelies), and 4 of the very old, but period correct "Goodyear Suburbanite" tires. Expanded Stock Decal stripes and options on a huge new sheet, and the the Light Bars and Sirens to make a convincing Sheriff's Jeep. (Although I don't think there are any L.E.O. markings on the sheet. The Large Hood Scoop from the Last version is still on the trees too. A nice upgrade, not as fancy, but still worth having. YMMV
stavanzer Posted yesterday at 12:51 AM Posted yesterday at 12:51 AM After Double Checking HPI Guy's video review of the Mount'n'Goat kit, it looks like both the raised and the stock springs are both in the tooling. So you can life the Jeep, but you are on your own if you want bigger tires.
slusher Posted yesterday at 01:01 AM Posted yesterday at 01:01 AM I was totally surprised that it was reissued…

The long roof is pretty much the only change, likely didn't cost them a lot to churn this one out.
JS23U Posted yesterday at 12:42 PM Posted yesterday at 12:42 PM Funny enough the snow plow wasn't shown or mentioned on the 72 annual kit box as well.

I was under the impression that they closed down shop except for the one bro trying to get caught up on paid back orders and offering a very limited selection of small stuff. Given the fact that the new release has so many options that Chris made in the past I won't be doing those. In addition, sometimes life gets in the way of our hobby and that certainly holds true for me. I had a cardiac arrest in June and have a defibrillator now, and I lost my job at Dow because of the economy so I have to focus on finding another job right now. At some point once I get settled I'll look at options for this and other kits, and I still have some Bronco, F100+ and Scout II items on my personal page. 2
thatz4u Posted 22 hours ago Posted 22 hours ago I have this one in the stash...it's going to the Gem City NNL

Sorry to hear of that double whammy Jim, hope your health and job situation get better. You and Chris have been thru a lot in the last few years. Appreciate the update and hopefully you're back at it soon. 3

I would expect to see pre-orders sometime this month, as Round2 just showed this kit on their August preview, which is good indication that the kits have been shipped from China.
pulln4dejr Posted 11 hours ago Posted 11 hours ago Just saw Round2’s latest video and the “Jeepster” was highlighted!
