Quiet Eric Posted Sunday at 10:07 PM Posted Sunday at 10:07 PM (edited) Currently (and hopefully for a long while) it's this '24 Maverick XLT EcoBoost lease return I picked up in February with about 7,600 miles on it. It's a pretty good little almost-truck as I like to call it. But prior to that I drove this XBox for a year and a half...I see they're pretty popular vehicles here! It was bought new by my grandparents and handed down to me. I ruined it with lowering springs and wheels/tires. It was a great car but I needed something with a bed. Your Maverick reminds me of my Santa Cruz. It is also an almost truck but I hauled some fencing materials to fix my wooden fence, and it had no problem doing so. I love my little truck because it's a lot more fun to drive then a full-size half ton pickup. 1
Deathgoblin Posted Monday at 03:11 AM Posted Monday at 03:11 AM (edited) Had a 2011 GMC Acadia that died about 3 weeks ago (last few weeks have been an "adventure"). Alternator went out and after it was replaced it just never started again. Was able to get a 2020 Chevy Equinox with 132000 miles for $8400. It's in great shape and drives well. I miss the CD player, but I'll manage. Edited Monday at 03:13 AM by Deathgoblin

That beauty should be in a museum somewhere. If I owned that car and it got a door ding at the local supermarket, I would have a coronary event for sure. What year is that dream car? I'm guessing 55, 56 ?

Found out that the USB port under the dash will pick up a thumb drive and the stereo will read MP3, so I loaded a 15GB one with a bunch of ripped music Now I've got Dream Theater, Fates Warning, Grim Reaper, Avantasia, Kamelot....

Well Mark, the wife asked me why I drive it so much? I told her I did not buy it to look at it. So far so good, no dings from the store. The Grinch is a 1954 Ford Skyliner. On really hot days it gets pretty warm inside with that glass roof though!! Those are the days all 4 windows are down and the vents are all open!! 1

I wish you good luck with your travels and park way out if you have to. But that does not always guarantee safety from door dings. Some people just can't stand that other people have fine rides to drive. Take care of that baby the best you can.

Those are the days all 4 windows are down and the vents are all open!! I think the later, '55 & '56 model years, had some sort of sunshade that would go on the inside of the glass roof portion to block the sun. With time this may be gone now if it even ever had one. The point is this is something a guy could make and maybe use some Velcro to hold in place when needed. By the way I have always liked the '54's styling.
stavanzer Posted 12 hours ago Posted 12 hours ago I have 2 daily drivers. 1987 Toyota Camry. Purchased new by my Grandmother in 1988 from Longo Toyota in LA, it then went to my folks 11 years ago, and came down to my last year. 110550 miles, all original. This is the exact car, when new. A/C is out and with daily temps over 100 Deg every day, It is sitting right now. My Other Daily is a 2008 Chevy Silverado 2500 4x4, crew cab. (Just like my truck. Hard to find pics of these wheels) 1

My other daily driver, which is more like a weekly driver is a 2023 CX-5. My parents had one like this for awhile when I was a kid. Stylish? Though I'd rock one now...
