this is a johan usa oldies kit
i resin printed the right hand drive marlin dash which i made by uploading a photo of the kit dash into a once free to use image to 3d model generator
i curbsided the model due to to a couple pieces of the engine being missing
i used a set of rims and tires from my parts boxes since there was a couple pieces of the front suspension missing also
i painted the body rust-oleum 2x gloss white
i used a silver sharpie to do the center of the roof and trunk lid and the trim
i painted the interior rust-oleum 2x flat grey primer
i painted the center console rust-oleum bright coat aluminum

Very cool subject there Michelle, wheels are a good choice and the stance is perfect. We had the Rambler brand for a short time in Australia through AMI (Australian motor Industries)

thank you I was going to use ami in the title but from what I could find out they did not do the marlin line
but there were some who bought them had them imported and changed over to Australian standards at a car plant

Boy does this kit bring back memories of a time when Jo-Hans were a dime a dozen. Great build, excellent wheel and tire choice, nice paint.

Yes, I believe that's right. I don't recall ever seeing the Rambler Marlins but I did see a few Rambler Rebel  Matadors from time to time.

One of the off puting things at the time parts...difficult in the USA AMC...rarer RHD only parts...some rare Mopar A body RHD only rocking horse stuff! i used to own a UK Mustang 2 RHD they only made 33.. so steering parts always a worry....no one wanted so no value especially AMC,so almost all scrapped. :(

It is true....we are talking some years ago! friend offered me a Chrysler VIP for next to nothing and i was not interested...that was a valiant RHD 4 door 318 V8 with leather interiour made for south africa...how many where made? another friend had a RHD valiant that ran 11s in the quarter mile...the whole car for sale for under $2k it ended up broken up and motor in a more desirable Mopar....special luxary AMCs 4 doors just for UK same sad story....still some left in South Africa some good news.
