tomsheehy Posted Saturday at 02:03 PM Posted Saturday at 02:03 PM 1968 Chevy Biscayne, Massachusetts State Police replica. Built using a resin body and interior made by MCW Automotive Finishes mated to an AMT 67 Impala kit. Details include a David Parsley roof beacon, In Quarters decals and a scratch built whip antenna. Paint is hardware store enamels that closely match MSP's "French and Electric" blues. This was their last year for 2 door sedan patrol units, it is also the only time in the 1960s that MSP used Chevys. 13 1
Jim B Posted Saturday at 04:37 PM Posted Saturday at 04:37 PM Great looking cruiser. Well done. How did you do the whip antenna? I need to make one for my 1949 Mercury Sheriff replica from the movie Cars. Ok, I guess it's not a replica as Sheriff isn't actually real. 😁
espo Posted Saturday at 05:38 PM Posted Saturday at 05:38 PM Great looking build and like the color scheme. Interested in the basic body source having ordered a new '68 Chevy Bel Air two-door long ago. Like the chassis detailing.
exnyman Posted Saturday at 09:19 PM Posted Saturday at 09:19 PM What a great build! I’m in awe of your skills! I’ve had this kit for 15 years and multiple times have tried building it, only to get frustrated and put it back in the box. While the MCW body and interior is very good, the fitment takes tons of patience. I love to see scale 68 Full size Chevys. My Dad bought an Impala Custom Coupe brand new. My first car, was a 68 Impala Convertible, which I’ve now owned for 50 years.
XYHARRY Posted Sunday at 09:39 AM Posted Sunday at 09:39 AM Nice, it's always cool to see different states police colours. Well done Tom.
