Firebuilder Posted August 18 Posted August 18 Scott, looks really nice, good solid build as always. 2
Jürgen M. Posted August 19 Posted August 19 Nice and clean job Scott! I like those off set cabs. Maybe I should build one someday! I'm really enjoying those service truck builds! Garbage disposal, oil distributor, road maintanance, ... The closest I've come to that was probably my ACX with the shipping container but that's not really public service. Means, I might pick up one or the other idea if you guys don't mind! 1
Biggu Posted August 19 Posted August 19 Scott, the Mack looks great , I have heard that this kit is a bit of a challenge to build…. Is that true or is it just like any old school kit? Does it need an extra patience and a steady hand? 1

I thought it would be similar to the R685 kit ,,but it's got a lot of quirks ! 1
Scott Eriksen Posted Monday at 10:49 PM Author Posted Monday at 10:49 PM ................packer is one with the frame,,, still lots to do ,,right now fabbing a frame mounted hyd tank . The guys want me to hurry up so they can grab a sandwich at Satriale's 😉 The rear axle spacing center to center looked wide to me ,even when I mocked it up ,but it measures 60 inch ,axle center to axle center which is what Mack shows with a quick search (54-60) ..........have to make a stack brace yet ,,,lights,,,,some weathering too 1
BK9300 Posted Monday at 11:58 PM Posted Monday at 11:58 PM That's looking fabulous, Scott - you know me - love all the hydraulic lines. Terrific update! 2

Thanks Brian,,yeah I removed most of the 3D printed "lines" and replaced with brass rod and some CTM fittings and hose I had left over from the FDNY wrecker.I used one of the PTO's you sent as a hydraulic motor for the winch ,it was just a drum as part of the 3D print I'll do some light weathering and have to "trash out" the business end yet! ..............my apologies to Anthony Soprano and his "Waste Management" business ,,,lol 2
BK9300 Posted Tuesday at 12:29 AM Posted Tuesday at 12:29 AM I caught the reference to Tony - good stuff! 1 1
