Harry P. Posted May 14, 2009 Posted May 14, 2009 Looks good already! When it comes to automotive basket cases, you are the man!!!
Dr. Cranky Posted May 15, 2009 Author Posted May 15, 2009 Thanks, Harry!!! No basket is ever insormountable:
Don Banes Posted May 15, 2009 Posted May 15, 2009 Whoaaaaaaaa! Very nice! Very gnarly! The weathering is about dead nuts!
Hizoot Posted May 15, 2009 Posted May 15, 2009 WOW, Now THAT looks gone & forgotten..! Remember, life is sweeeter when you drive a beater. Hizoot
Foxer Posted May 15, 2009 Posted May 15, 2009 This one seems to have been on the workbench a LoooooNG time! With this new listing I won't have to do a long forum search to find it now. The weathering looks very believable.
george 53 Posted May 15, 2009 Posted May 15, 2009 Why am I thinkin you got somethin like this down the road from ya? It' looks like a good candidate for an "End of the Driveway" type of picture! Try it, I bet it'll look GOOD! Ya done it again Kidd-O
RJWood Posted May 15, 2009 Posted May 15, 2009 That is some fine weathering work on yer Chevy. Can't wait to see what happens with the interior.
Raul_Perez Posted May 15, 2009 Posted May 15, 2009 Very nice work, Virgil!! Are you going to use BMF or paint for the window trim? Thanks for sharing!!! Later,
Dr. Cranky Posted May 15, 2009 Author Posted May 15, 2009 Thanks, folks. I really appreciate it. Yeah, I think I am going to use BMF on the windows and side trim . . . but we are far from getting there yet . . . next up is the rolling chassis, and then the interior, and the engine. Can't forget the engine.
Semi Trailer Mechanic Posted May 15, 2009 Posted May 15, 2009 What's goin' on... Stunning!!! By the way... I enjoyed reading your write up in MCM!
jeffinvt Posted May 15, 2009 Posted May 15, 2009 why so shiny, I thought you usually did really rust builds...
vizio93 Posted May 15, 2009 Posted May 15, 2009 really nice job. it looks like it's been sittin in a junkyard for 50 years. i'll be keeping an eye on this build
Starliner Kustoms Posted May 15, 2009 Posted May 15, 2009 Man that would be a perfect candidate for the "Real or Model" section. Of course we would know now it's a model but you get the idea. Nice weathering. Bernie
noname Posted May 16, 2009 Posted May 16, 2009 Your best one yet in my opinion. Very realistic and I specially like the sticker in the window.
Jairus Posted May 16, 2009 Posted May 16, 2009 Matthew, if I know Mr. V, he is just covering up a glue spot...
