1998 Indy Pace Car Corvette: New pictures of a model built over 22 years ago

Hello,

I built this Revell 1998 Indy Pace Car Corvette around 2003.  This was one of the first (if not the first) times I used authentic lacquer paint.  MCW Radar Blue in this case.

It was built pretty much box stock with added fuel lines, oil dipstick and aluminum exhaust tips.  The display case has done its job protecting it.

As a comparison, here are some of the pictures from when it was done.

Fun memories. I took a picture of my parent's house, enlarged to 11x14 and glued to a piece of foamboard to use as background.  Still have that mounted picture.  Scales don't really match.

Thanks,

No worries!  If you did, you would have to take over the dining room table.  My icon picture is a diorama, if I properly scaled the distance between car and building in a painting where the artist took liberties, it would have been another foot of nothing but pavement.  Looks great!
