ismaelg Posted August 3 Posted August 3 (edited) Hello, I built this Revell 1998 Indy Pace Car Corvette around 2003. This was one of the first (if not the first) times I used authentic lacquer paint. MCW Radar Blue in this case. It was built pretty much box stock with added fuel lines, oil dipstick and aluminum exhaust tips. The display case has done its job protecting it. Pictures from August 2025 As a comparison, here are some of the pictures from when it was done. Fun memories. I took a picture of my parent's house, enlarged to 11x14 and glued to a piece of foamboard to use as background. Still have that mounted picture. Scales don't really match. Thanks, Ismael Edited August 3 by ismaelg 9
VanGoGo Posted August 3 Posted August 3 looks great...back when the 'vettes were still smooth and curvy, I think the C5 'vette is much better looking than the C8
XYHARRY Posted August 4 Posted August 4 Looks fresh, your photography is great too. Well done Ismael.

My icon picture is a diorama, if I properly scaled the distance between car and building in a painting where the artist took liberties, it would have been another foot of nothing but pavement. Looks great!
