A question about the original 50 Ford convertible kit

Did the original kit have a top similar to the 51 Victoria,if so I am going to see if I can find one.  I would like to see if I can build me a 51.

Yes, it did but it's chopped.

Some Resin Caster did copies of those tops many years ago, but I have no idea who it was.

It looks like I will be getting a 50 kit for the hopped up flathead parts for a 60s 49 build and would like to build a 51 hard top but I could make a chopped top custom hard top.

That would be Modelhaus: They offered both the Carson top and Chopped Vicky roof section.

Perhaps the (stock) roof from Lindbergs 1953 Ford Coupé can be used as base for a conversion?

Recent issues of the '50 have the rear glass for that top, but the top itself was only in the first issue.

The chopped hardtop could be brought back to stock height by using the stock '50 windshield, adding material to the bottom of the C-pillars, and shortening the length of the roof a bit. Then you could scrounge the correct dash, hubcaps, double bullet grille, bumpers and taillights from an Ideal '51 Ford convertible kit (those are the only usable parts on that kit; the rest is a misshapen mess).
