AMT '36 Ford sedan

I'v decided this will be my next project. 

AMT kit with a Flintstone resin body and 3-D printed artilery wheels. 

Haven't decided on very dark blue or a dark orange yet. Not even sure on the engine either but it'll be a Ford engine. either a flathead or 302.

This is gonna be good, and I say flathead with a blower, and Dark Orange body and blue fenders.

I imagined dark blue fenders and orange body when I read those two colors also.

.I did some cleanup on the body around the window openings. The body is quite thick and uneven so it'll take more work.

I also pinned the body/fender assembly. held the body in place. drilled some holes and put lengths cut from strait pins in. glued the pins to the fenders in back and body in front.

Now the body will stay put and I can easily pit them and take them apart during assembly

Thanks Jim, I looked for a set of finned heads and a 2 or 3 carb intake I thought I had stashed away over the weekens but no luck, I'll find a set eventually though. 

Actually decided on the dark orange, more of a pearl or candy rust shade. gonna save the dark blue for a more involved '37 Chevy coupe project I have in mind and have been thinking about for a few years now but haven't pulled the trigger on.

Decided to use the tri-carb flathead from the Revell '32 sedan. 

fit in with minor mods, kinda surprised it was so easy actually.

Only mod I had to do to the engine was  file down the attached motor mounts.

On the frame I cut out the small tranny mount and engine mounts and added pins that will go into holes drilled in the mounts on the engine.

Pretty simple swap.

That engine mount looks very clean.

I am surprised how you have gotten the body to fit. It looks reat now.

Where did you get the Wheels?

I'd like to get a set of 'em....

Thanks Alex. It took a lot of grinding. Not done yet, have to radius around the window openings and true them up before I can start paint.

My buddy Steve-O printed them for me. I think he bought the file from Z-Force but it may have been another vendor.

I love the body pinning idea. I could have used that recently with a tough build.
