JerseeJerry55 Posted Monday at 08:14 PM Posted Monday at 08:14 PM Good day all, Hope everyone's well. In the process of starting my second AMT Transtar CO4070A and after painting the interior bucket I noticed the following. It appears that the left side rail where the hinge pins are may be slightly "crooked". If anyone has built this kit can you please advise if this looks correct, or is indeed a little off. If I need to redo the rails what is the best course of action, freezer and then carefully separate and then redo it? I have included pics of both rails for comparison. Thank you and have a great day. Kind regards, JerseeJerry55

NOBLNG Posted yesterday at 12:54 AM Posted yesterday at 12:54 AM I can’t tell you if it needs to be corrected, but if that “Mr. Hobby” glue is a solvent like Tamiya Extra Thin, then the only way to break the joint if it is completely dried, is to cut it apart. I would suggest a photo etch razor saw. Drill and pin the parts before re-assembly at the proper orientation.🤷♂️ 1
Muncie Posted yesterday at 03:02 AM Posted yesterday at 03:02 AM Might try checking fit and alignment with other parts - I'm not familiar with this one but some cabovers have differences between lefts and rights.
