This started out life as a "show" build complete with all the cool features like full engine wiring / plumbing - carpeted / detailed interior - brake lines with parking brake cables - wheel valve stems - MV headlight lenses (Thank You Marc Nellis !!!) and full polished perfect red paint. It got destroyed at the first local show it attended due to a lack of care on the part of the host (different story). Note to self (and others) do not participate in a model contest at a Motorcycle / tattoo show that serves alcohol !! Well it sat in my bitter abyss for1968SHELBY(HEARTLANDNATS).jpg.251129754e7316506661faabc55234f4.jpgever than one day I had a vision and here it is !!! I built the building using craft and popsicle sticks. It was weathered using "weather it" and then was dusted using my lovely fine sand collected from the backs of 1:1 cars that drive on dirt roads.

Sorry.....What I meant to say was that I collected the fine dusty dirt that would accumulate on the backsides of wheels from cars that frequent dirt roads. I am an auto tech by trade so I see a lot of "dirty" cars !!! When you get it off the wheel either by dropping the wheel on the floor form about 6 inches high or lightly scraping the dirt off it has consistency of baby / talcum powder but brown !!! It is perfect to send through my mechanical sifter.
